Probably everybody who has visited Chiang Mai has also visited one of the many temples in this area. For me, the temple on the way up to Doi Suthep is the most beautiful, it’s called Wat Sakithaka. My friend Robert and I hiked up and stayed some time at the temple because it started raining, but that gave me the opportunity to take lots of photos.

Trees near the temple (Wat) with orange stripes to keep the spirits in a good mood.

That’s probably one of my favourite photos that I took so far. The traditional tattoos are called Sak Yant and are usually engraved with a metal or bamboo stick, not with modern tattoo machines.
